April Parker, MD
Dr. Parker is owner and medical director of Boost Beauty Boutique.
After practicing as a board certified OB/GYN practicing in St. Louis for over 10 years, Dr. Parker expanded the scope of her practice to include med spa procedures at Boost in Columbia, Ill.
Dr. Parker provides hands-on care to patients at her med spa. From managing weight loss medications to injecting neuromodulators, conducting laser treatments, and more, patients appreciate her down-to-earth and relatable approach to aesthetics.
Having long held an interest in skincare and aesthetics, Dr. Parker is passionate about the services provided at Boost. She ensures that she and her team are up-to-date on the latest research and safety protocols. She personally chooses all the products and services provided at Boost–her goal is to provide safe treatments to help clients feel both beautiful and confident in their skin.
Dr. Parker is originally from Millstadt but now resides in Smithton with her husband and three children. Being local to the area, she understands the importance of having high quality services available close to home and is excited to bring top notch skincare products and aesthetic services to Columbia, Waterloo, Belleville, and surrounding towns.
Outside of work, Dr. Parker is a busy mom to her twin sons and daughter, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, gardening, and going out to eat.
Laurie Iorio, RN
Laurie is Dr. Parker’s right-hand woman at Boost. She is trained to perform all of the procedures and operate all of the equipment used at Boost med spa.
With a nursing career spanning 30 years across many areas of patient care, including labor and delivery, cardiology, infusions, and surgery, Laurie is an expert in the field. She prides herself on precision with a needle and IV and can get the job done before the patient feels a thing!
Her background and training, combined with a desire to help people feel good about themselves, made the transition to beauty and aesthetics seamless. She loves sitting down with patients, discussing treatments that will boost their self confidence, and seeing the joy in the final results.
Laurie has lived in Waterloo for over 20 years. Along with her husband, Laurie is happy to be near her two grown sons, daughter-in-law, and young grandson. She spends her free time traveling, boating, gardening, and making memories with loved ones.

Cierra Dixon, Esthetician
Cierra, a certified esthetician, is the newest member of the Boost team. We are so lucky to acquire the expertise and perspective that she brings to our med spa.
After a brief hiatus from the beauty industry, Cierra realized that skin care truly is her passion. She embarked on her journey with Boost in October, 2024.
With a wealth of knowledge and an upbeat personality, Cierra makes it her mission to make sure that clients look and feel their very best. She realizes that beauty is more than outward appearance, it is also about confidence and self-assurance.
Cierra is committed to educating clients about how to best take care of their skin to keep it healthy and youthful. She has a professional eye for analyzing skin and recommending services to benefit each individual who visits Boost.
From skin analysis to facials, peels, dermaplaning and esthetic services likebrow, lash, and hair removal, Cierra does it all and is always looking for clients who want to feel like the best version of themselves.
